About us
The Royal Netherlands Astronomical Society is the professional organization of Dutch and Flemish astronomers and space researchers. The Society was founded on October 5, 1918. At the occasion of its centenary in 2018, the Society received Royal status.
The goals of the RNAS, as written in its statues are to: "promote astronomy in The Netherlands and in Belgium, including in elementary and secondary education, and maintain and stimulate contacts with, and between, astronomers, both inside and outside of the profession."
