Activities and Prizes
The RNAS awards prizes for exceptional contributions from professional astronomers or space scientists in the areas of science communication (Willem de Graaff Prize) and education (Kees de Jager Prize). In addition, the Kapteyn Institute of Groningen University awards the Pastoor Schmeits Prize for scientific excellence. These three prizes are awarded three-annually at the Netherlands Astronomy Conference.
